Swim4Good Costa Brava Relay

photo 1On Saturday July 18th at 5AM, 6 Swim4Good swimmers will attempt to swim along the entire coast of Costa Brava in Catalunya, from Blanes to Portbou. The estimated distance will be around 130 km, and estimated time of around 43 hours. It will be a 6 swimmer relay following the Marathon Swimmer Federation rules.

If successful, the Costa Brava Swim4Good relay team will complete the longest 6 swimmer relay (MSF rules) in continental Europe and second longest by a European team (based on Relay Record Redux in Daily News of Open Water Swimming).

  2. Christian Puentes (Barcelona): Strait of Gibraltar, Port de la Selva – Cadaqués (22 km), La Bocaina (17 km), 4 Marnaton non-stop (22 km), Marnaton Formentera (11 km), Marnaton Ibiza (11 km)
  3. Alberto Compte (Barcelona): Strait of Gibraltar, English Channel 3 Swimmer Relay, Port de la Selva – Cadaqués (22 km), Marnaton Formentera (11 km), Marnaton Ibiza (11 km),
  4. Jordi Cañellas (Barcelona): Strait of Gibraltar, Marnaton Formentera (11 km), Marnaton Ibiza (11 km). Ironman, Titan Desert..
  5. Mauricio Prieto (Barcelona / Méx): Strait of Gibraltar, La Bocaina (17 km), Marnaton Formentera (11 km), SF Bridge to Bridge (10 km), English Channel 3 swimmer relay, Sea of Cortes relay..
  6. Esteban Raventós (Barcelona): Strait of Gibraltar, Port de la Selva – Cadaqués (22 km), Marnaton Formentera (11 km), Marnaton Ibiza (11 km).
